Welcome to Book Club at Sounds of Color Studio! Young readers will explore exciting stories and poetry, share ideas, and grow their love for books from a variety of genres. Through guided discussions and interactive activities, students will deepen their literary understanding. So whether you're already a book lover or just starting your reading journey, there’s a place for you here!
How We Teach • Book Club Classes
Our Book Club classes are designed to be a fun and engaging space for young readers to explore exciting stories and poetry, share ideas, and grow their love for books! In this class, students will read age-appropriate books from a variety of genres—fantasy, mystery, graphic novels, realistic fiction, and more. Through guided discussions and interactive activities, students will deepen their literary understanding of characters, themes, and writing styles.
Skills We Teach • Book Club Classes
We offer two different levels of Book Club: elementary and middle school. This allows our teachers to provide tailored instruction and guidance for our students based on their learning needs. A sample of the different skills covered in this class include:
Guided reading assignments
Story and poetry structure
Vocabulary development
Reading comprehension and fluency
Critical thinking and text analysis

Fees • Group Class Schedule
Book Club Class Fees*
Group: 1 lesson/week • 1 hour • $150/month per student + $100 material fee**
*Private and group class fees include 4 lessons per month. If a month has 5 weeks, there is no additional charge for the fifth class. All class fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.
**Material fees are non-refundable, non-transferable, one-time fees.

Studio Classes
Our studio creates an engaging and rich academic learning environment perfect for Book Club classes. Small group class sizes mean our students receive hands-on instruction from our teachers, and tailored curriculum based on their grade level.

We offer Book Club classes for students as young as 7 years old.

Yes. Our teachers have extensive experience and/or educational backgrounds in their area of specialization. Every teacher is thoroughly vetted and goes through a comprehensive background check, including FBI and Department of Justice clearance.

We do our best to match every student with the perfect teacher, but if for any reason it's just not the right fit, we will be more than happy to find an alternative solution. Depending on the situation, this may include finding a new teacher for private lessons, or a different group class.
