“Designers, make it work!” Our sewing and craft classes at Sounds of Color Studio teach students all the skills needed to sew, stitch, and knit trendy clothes and fashionable accessories. Whether you have experience, or you’re learning how to sew or knit as a new hobby, we’ll introduce you to this amazing world of crafting. How We Teach • Sewing & Craft Classes
Sewing and craft classes at Sounds of Color Studio are designed for anyone interested in crafting, sewing, stitching, and knitting clothes and accessories. Our teachers regularly introduce new, creative projects and concepts to help students expand their skillset and knowledge. Students have the flexibility to work on projects of their choice at their own pace, and always share their areas of interest with teachers to help make our classes collaborative and engaging.
Skills We Teach • Sewing & Craft Classes
Our sewing and craft classes provide a comprehensive learning experience for students of any level, including beginner, intermediate, and advanced. Students will learn a variety of useful skills in sewing and crafting including:
Using a sewing machine
Sewing with a thread and needle
Knitting and quilting
Designing clothes and apparel
Measuring and cutting fabric
Private or Group Sewing and Craft Classes
Fees • Group Class Schedule
Sewing & Craft Class Fees*
Private: 1 lesson/week • 1 hour • $400/month per student + $500 material fee**
Group: 1 lesson/week • 1 hour • $100/month per student + $500 material fee**
*Class fees include 4 lessons per month. If a month has 5 weeks, there is no additional charge for the fifth class. All class fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Studio Classes
Our studio has everything needed to inspire creativity in our sewing and craft classes. With plenty of sewing machine stations and stylish fabric patterns, the possibilities are endless! Small group class sizes mean our students receive hands-on training from our teachers, and personalized projects make the learning process fun and engaging.

We accept students as young as 5 years old in our Sewing and Craft classes. Use of certain class equipment may be limited for younger students, and to ensure student safety, the teacher may need to complete specific portions of the project.

Yes. Our teachers have extensive experience and/or educational backgrounds in their area of specialization. Every teacher is thoroughly vetted and goes through a comprehensive background check, including FBI and Department of Justice clearance.

We do our best to match every student with the perfect teacher, but if for any reason it's just not the right fit, we will be more than happy to find an alternative solution. Depending on the situation, this may include finding a new teacher for private lessons, or a different group class.

Yes! We have many students who require special learning accommodations, and our dedicated and caring teachers help everyone shine in their classes. Please inform us of any special circumstances during registration.
