At Sounds of Color Studio, our Musical Theater classes introduce students to the thrilling experience of being part of a cast, performing in a live stage musical, and as part of our Vocal Ensemble! Students will also enjoy immersive learning activities in production and design, costume and prop making, stage makeup, and more.
How We Teach • Musical Theater Classes
Musical theater classes at Sounds of Color Studio offer an all-encompassing introduction to the exciting world of stage theater. Students of all experience levels will perform in fun musicals and our Vocal Ensemble. Our classes also focus on introducing students to the technical side of stage theater with immersive learning activities.
Skills We Teach • Musical Theater Classes
Musical Theater students build a foundation in acting, singing, and dancing. An emphasis is placed on monologues, line delivery, stage etiquette, choreography, and vocal performance. Students learn how to be part of a cast and the importance of all roles and ensemble.
Our students also explore the creative and technical side of stage theater with fun, hands-on learning experiences. Some examples of key concepts include:

Group Musical Theater Classes
Fees • Group Class Schedule
Musical Theater Class Fees*
Musical Theater: 1 lesson/week • 90 minutes • $150/month per student + $500 material fee**
*Class fees include 4 lessons per month. If a month has 5 weeks, there is no additional charge for the fifth class. Tuition is billed monthly, and all class fees are non-refundable, non-transferable, and non-prorated - regardless of attendance.
**Material fees are non-refundable, non-transferable, non-prorated, one-time fees.
*Student participation in any of our musical theater classes requires a full commitment for the duration of the production. An early withdrawal fee may be applied if a student withdraws from the class before the performance date.

Our inviting studio is the perfect place for musical theater classes for any experience level. Students have the opportunity to practice monologues, develop their singing voice, and practice costume making, stage makeup, and more.

Musical Theater classes are available for students ages 5 and up. Students may be divided into age groups, or combined into a single cast, depending on the current show.

Yes! Auditions are held at the start of each new production. Every student is guaranteed a part, whether it’s a character role or an important member of the ensemble.

Yes. Our teachers have extensive experience and/or educational backgrounds in their area of specialization. Every teacher is thoroughly vetted and goes through a comprehensive background check, including FBI and Department of Justice clearance.
