How We Teach • Musical Theater Classes
Musical theater classes at Sounds of Color Studio offer an inviting experience for kids and teens interested in learning acting, dancing, singing, and choreography. Our experienced teachers select fun and engaging musicals for students to comfortably build their stage presence and expand their performance skillset. Throughout the year, our musical theater students participate in several live productions to share their progress with family and friends.
Skills We Teach • Musical Theater Classes
Musical Theater students build a strong foundation in acting, singing, and dancing. An emphasis is placed on character development and monologues, stage etiquette, choreography, vocal performance, line delivery and improvisation. Students also have the opportunity to audition and be cast in several productions of classic musicals and plays throughout the year.

Musical Theater Class Fees*
Musical Theater: 1 lesson/week • 1 hour • $150/month per student + $400 material fee**
*Class fees include 4 lessons per month. If a month has 5 weeks, there is no additional charge for the fifth class. Tuition is billed monthly, and all class fees are non-refundable, non-transferable, and non-prorated - regardless of attendance.

*Student participation in any of our musical theater classes requires a full commitment for the duration of the production. An early withdrawal fee may be applied if a student withdraws from the class before the performance date.

Studio Classes
Our inviting studio is the perfect place for musical theater classes for any age or experience level. Students have the opportunity to practice monologues, develop their singing voice, and rehearse choreography.

Makeup lessons are currently not available for Musical Theater classes.

We accept students as young as 5 years old in our Musical Theater Conservatory. Depending on the show selection, students may be divided based on appropriate age groups, or combined into a single cast. It's never too early to help kids develop the confidence to perform in front of an audience!

Yes! Auditions are held at the start of each new production. Every student is guaranteed a part, whether it’s a character role or an important member of the ensemble.

Yes. Our teachers have extensive experience and/or educational backgrounds in their area of specialization. Every teacher is thoroughly vetted and goes through a comprehensive background check, including FBI and Department of Justice clearance.

Yes! We have many students who require special learning accommodations, and our dedicated and caring teachers help everyone shine in their classes. Please inform us of any special circumstances during registration.
