Small class sizes in our digital art classes allow teachers to work hands-on with students, providing individualized guidance and instruction. With our 1:1 technology program, every digital art student has access to state-of-the-art technology including:

  • Wacom® tablets and stylus

  • iPads and Apple Pencil

  • Professionally licensed digital art software

Skills We Teach • Digital Art Classes

Digital art students at Sounds of Color Studio learn fundamental art techniques and how to apply those skills in a digital medium. With access to professional digital art software, Wacom® tablets, and iPads, students can switch between a variety of mediums and genres to create vibrant artwork on the screen. Our experienced teachers and extensive library of art resources provide incredible opportunity for creativity.

Our digital art teachers will also regularly introduce key concepts including photorealism, sketching, watercolor, self-portrait, and more to help build each student’s artistic portfolio.

Fees • Group Class Schedule

Digital Art Class Fees*

Private: 1 lesson/week • 1 hour • $400/month + $500 material fee**
Group
: 1 lesson/week • 1 hour • $100/month per student + $500 material fee**

*Private and group class fees include 4 lessons per month. If a month has 5 weeks, there is no additional charge for the fifth class. All class fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.

**Material fees are non-refundable, non-transferable, one-time fees.

• 5:00pm - 6:00pm (ONLINE; Beginners)
Wednesday:

• 5:30pm - 6:30pm (ONLINE; Intermediate/Advanced)
Saturday:
• 12:00pm - 1:00pm (Beginners/Intermediate)

Online Classes

We know life can be busy, which is why we offer online digital art classes as an option for our students. So whether you need to schedule a make-up lesson online, or learn remotely, we’ll be there. Online students must have a strong, reliable internet connection and compatible tablet and software for use during lessons.

Commonly Asked Questions About Digital Art Classes

  • The youngest age level we recommend beginning with digital art classes is 7 years old. We've found this is the perfect age where students have the necessary attention span to best utilize the technology and software.

  • Our digital art classes incorporate many of the fundamental art techniques and skills also taught in our traditional art classes. The main difference with our digital art classes is learning how to utilize those skills in a digital medium. Students use Wacom® tablets and pens, and iPads with Apple Pencils to create digital artwork.

  • Not at all! We're here to help you achieve all of your artistic goals, whether it's painting, drawing, sketching or anything else.

  • Yes! For students primarily interested in learning traditional art mediums such as drawing, painting, sketching, and more, we recommend enrolling in our traditional Art classes here.

  • Yes. Our teachers have extensive experience and/or educational backgrounds in their area of specialization. Every teacher is thoroughly vetted and goes through a comprehensive background check, including FBI and Department of Justice clearance.

  • We do our best to match every student with the perfect teacher, but if for any reason it's just not the right fit, we will be more than happy to find an alternative solution. Depending on the situation, this may include finding a new teacher for private lessons, or a different group class.

  • Yes! We have many students who require special learning accommodations, and our dedicated and caring teachers help everyone shine in their classes. Please inform us of any special circumstances during registration.
