At Sounds of Color Studio, we offer integrated dance classes for kids that provide instruction in ballet, hip hop, and jazz. So you get the best of everything dance - all in one class!
How We Teach • Kids’ Dance Classes
Kids’ dance classes at Sounds of Color Studio offer an inviting, no-pressure environment for young dancers with any level of experience. Our teachers use a mix of popular and classic music, as well as live piano accompaniment, to provide the right soundtrack and ambiance for any style of dance. Students practice the proper dance poises and forms, as well as stretches to keep the body loose and ready to groove.
Skills We Teach • Kids’ Dance Classes
Our integrated dance curriculum provides all-in-one instruction for 3 dance varieties. For Ballet, our teachers provide a foundation in classic skills including foot, head, and arms coordination, barre and core work, basic steps, leaps and turns. In Hip Hop, we focus on developing coordination and balance with fun beats and popular music. Jazz incorporates classic tunes and Broadway hits to help kids build coordination, movement and floor work.

• 1 lesson/week • 1 hour • $100/month per student + $100 material fee**
*Class fees include 4 lessons per month. If a month has 5 weeks, there is no additional charge for the fifth class. All class fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Yes. Our teachers have extensive experience and/or educational backgrounds in their area of specialization. Every teacher is thoroughly vetted and goes through a comprehensive background check, including FBI and Department of Justice clearance.

We do our best to match every student with the perfect teacher, but if for any reason it's just not the right fit, we will be more than happy to find an alternative solution. Depending on the situation, this may include finding a new teacher for private lessons, or a different group class.
