With younger students in particular, we may recommend sticking with the instrument for just a while to properly assess if any adjustments can be made from the teacher's approach. We encourage any students/families to bring this matter to their teacher's attention as early as possible. After consulting with their teacher, students are free to switch their instrument if needed.
