Harp Lessons in Orange County, California • Sounds of Color Studio

HARP LESSONS

The harp’s origins date back thousands of years, and to this day it remains one of the most highly regarded musical instruments. In an orchestra setting you’ll often find the harpist seated separately, allowing their gentle, yet resonating, sound to rise above. The harp may appear challenging, but with the right teacher at Sounds of Color Studio you’ll master the strings sooner than you ever imagined.

Commonly Asked Questions About Harp Lessons

  • The earliest we recommend starting harp lessons is 4 years old. This is typically the perfect age where the child's hand size is ready to play a junior-sized harp.

  • Not at all! If learning how to play an instrument is your dream, we're here to help students of any age learn how to play beautiful music.

  • Yes. Our teachers have extensive experience and/or educational backgrounds in their area of specialization. Every teacher is thoroughly vetted and goes through a comprehensive background check, including FBI and Department of Justice clearance.

  • We do our best to match every student with the perfect teacher, but if for any reason it's just not the right fit, we will be more than happy to find an alternative solution. Depending on the situation, this may include finding a new teacher for private lessons, or a different group class.

  • It is natural to expect some challenges when starting any new activity, especially for the first time. With younger students in particular, we may recommend sticking with the instrument for just a while to properly assess if any adjustments can be made from the teacher's approach. We encourage any students/families to bring this matter to their teacher's attention as early as possible. After consulting with their teacher, students are free to switch their instrument if needed.

  • Yes! We have many students who require special learning accommodations, and our dedicated and caring teachers help everyone shine in their classes. Please inform us of any special circumstances during registration.
